Cap on admission number

The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Locking Primary School is 60 pupils per year group.

In some year groups, a cap below the 60 pupil PAN has been placed on the admission number due to the way the school has had to organise its class structure, for example mixed year groups.

For capped year groups it will not be possible to offer places, even if the year group is below PAN (60), as admission of pupils above the cap could cause prejudice to the efficient education of the children already on roll.

In the 2024/25 academic year Locking Primary School have a cap on the admission number for the following cohorts:

Current Year 3/4 class             Cap of 30 pupils

Current Year 4 class                Cap of 32 pupils

Current Year 5 class                Cap of 34 pupils

Current Year 6 class                Cap of 30 pupils
