Recent and Upcoming Events October 2017

We kicked off the new school year with a rather soggy Party in the Playground! We danced  and sang along with the live band – yes, they even played Singin’ in the Rain for us!-, dodged the large raindrops whilst taking part in the Scavenger Hunt, drank a cider or two while eating burgers and hot dogs!  Many thanks to everyone who braved the weather and came along to support us at this event - it makes such a difference to the things we can buy for your children at Locking Primary School.

On Saturday November 4th we will be hosting our annual Fireworks Display. There will be a Bar and BBQ, sweets, Glowsticks, and a live band. Gates open at 6pm with the display starting around 7pm. Tickets are available from the school office, Manor Stores or on the gate.

Friday 1st December sees the return of our Christmas Café, with fun and games, cakes and drink and maybe even a visit from Father Christmas! Please see the school newsletter nearer the date for more details.

Thursday 7th December will see our popular film night- hot tea and a movie included in the price. Please see newsletter for more information.

Mayday Party in the Playground
Friday 12th May 2017
Many, many thanks to everyone who braved the elements to join us at a very enjoyable Party in the Playground. £313.07 was raised which will be put towards the really exciting next FOLs project – a literacy lodge! FOLs are hoping to raise £3500 which will be spent on creating a log cabin on the field for children to develop and practice their literacy skills – reading / writing / speaking and listening etc. We can’t wait! The next FOLs meeting is Tuesday 20th June, 7:30pm in the staff room. Come along and share your ideas for future events.
Friday 31st March:
Auction of Promises
Our Auction of Promises is an evening not to be missed!

Every year, this event is a huge success. Our auction lots in the past have ranged from hanging baskets to holiday homes for the weekend and M.O.Ts to Head teacher for the day!

Who knows what sort of auction lots will be available this year!

We’re hoping for some fantastic donations and if you would like to make a donation or a promise it would be very much appreciated. Or, just pop along to the auction for the evening and have a great night and maybe even bid on something.
