Covid-19 Parent Information

The government has updated the guidance for schools. These are the current systems in place at the school:

  • The use of face masks will be optional for staff and parents across our site.
  • Parents/Carers will be able to use any of our entrances at drop-off and collection time.
  • Staff will continue to take lateral flow tests twice a week.
  • Hand gel will be available at all of our entrances and in all of our classrooms.
  • Children will be encouraged to wash hands regularly throughout the day.
  • We will continue to have heightened cleaning processes throughout our school day, including frequent cleaning of touch points (door handles etc).
  • Our classroom tables will be sanitised twice per day.

We will not be operating any bubbles, meaning children will use the dining hall and playgrounds as they did before coronavirus. This will also allow us to start having assemblies in our hall.

We will not be using ‘hard’ social distancing measures on site (such a yellow lines etc) but would ask parents to operate in a way that keeps themselves and others safe and also with consideration to those that may have differing perspectives to their own.

It’s important to stress that all of these arrangements remain under constant review and we will not hesitate in reintroducing any of our previous procedures, should we need to. We will continue to liaise with Local Health Teams regarding cases within our school and community and will follow national guidance that is issued.
